At St. Joseph, we believe that athletics are an important part of the total education for our children. Our student athletes work to build skills, but also the life lessons of team cooperation; winning and losing; as well as character development in a Catholic School atmosphere.
Whether we are a spectator, player, or coach, we are called to be Catholic in all situations. We put God's word into practice by showing respect for every person through good sportsmanship as well as supporting every person who participates in our programs.
St. Joseph School provides an excellent opportunity for participation in basketball, softball, tee-ball and volleyball programs.

St. Joseph Athletics follows the Diocese of Madison Athletic Policy and the Mississippi River Valley Parochial League rules. A special thank you to all of our coaches and parents who volunteer their time to make our athletic programs successful.
Any student participating in athletics is required to have a physical examination every two years. Accident insurance coverage is mandatory for participating members. At the beginning of the school year a packet of information will be sent home. Please be sure to read the list of by-laws and ethical information contained in the packet.
All students, participants and spectators at St. Joseph School are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship at athletic events. Students are expected to conduct themselves in a courteous manner at any school or extracurricular event.
Any student who is not passing all classes will be suspended from athletic competition until the grade(s) in question are raised to passing.
